I have a fujifilm F700 finepix camera and it has broken, what is wrong with it?

Before I take a photo using my camera, the picture on the LCD screen is fine, sometimes it makes images have a purple and green halo around things, or purple and green lines across the screen, but mostly the image is fine. When I take a photo using my digital camera, the picture that is taken turns out a bright white all over, or there is a feathery white frame around the picture, with a bright white rectangle with feathery edges in the middle of the picture. I have not dropped the camera, or exposed it to extreme temperatures, just the day before it was working perfectly. Help me please, I would like to know what is wrong with it, before deciding whether or not to get it repaired or part exchange it with Fujifilm and replace it

If you check out the white balance and the brightness and contrast this could be an issue. If you check the lense this could be scratched if the camera has been pointed into the sun that might have knackered it?

sometimes is these case's it is far cheaper to buy a new camera then to get the one you have repaired,
you could try setting the camera to other settings to see if the result is just the same before you abandon all hope with the camera and but a new one, check out the price of the repair to the cost of a new one as well, if it is just a few pounds more to replace then buy the new one instead.

I am sure if you took the camera to a shop, they would at least talk to you if you told them the problem.
Try a small shop rather than a multi store. The staff do seem to have more time and knowledge to assist.

What's there to decide? The F700 was released in 2003! It's old, it's outdated. Just buy a new one...

I have the same camera if its still under the guarantee take it back from were you bought it & get it replaced.

The problem is that it is broken..
So buy a new one.

yes,so I don't know much about cameras but I'll try
my best to think about it .Well,what I think it is
that you might have had it for too long and it
might had been second handed so it would not
work as good.But an other answer for that would be
that you might have crashed it on something,but just check it
yourself and do what you think is good or just ask someone
professional to see it and where it is wrong
but really just buy a new one its broken you know that.
