Holga camera from Urban Outfitters?

Has anyone bought the Holga camera from Urban Outfitters?

How did you like it? Was it a one time use camera or you can re use it with film rolls?

Thanks!!

I do not know anything about Urban Outfitters selling Holgas, but I am a user of a Holga. It uses medium format film, size 120 to be exact. Unless you live in a large city with pro photo supply stores, you will have to order film. I order mine from B-H in New York. Black and White ISO 400 works well. Ilford is a good brand. The XP2 film is C41 process, though you will still likely have to mail off the film for processing.

The camera can give some nice "arty" looking photos, but you have to see things in a little different way with a Holga. You do not use it to take photos of pretty flowers or fine portraits. It is in it's element shooting things such as gutters and old buildings and rusted junk.

The 120 film in the Holga is a 6 x 6 cm square format, giving you 12 photos per roll.

You have no real exposure control, and that is why 400 speed film is best to use. The Holga FN model has a Bulb setting for the shutter so you can hold it open for dark light, long exposures.

You can do multiple exposures on each frame which can give some interesting results.

Here are some of my Holga shots if you want to browse:

you can reuse it by putting new rolls of film in it, but the rolls of film might be hard to find urban outfitters and ebay should sell them though.
and my friend has the camera, its actually pretty amazing the effects are pretty cool.
