How do you take the perfect head shot??? using the camera.???

like what angles and what hair style/amount of make up?

i need it for a modeling interview.

You need to go to a professional studio if you want it done right. Try Glamor shots.

I am a photographer and take most all my head shots.

Make sure you are in a plain background no clutter or any type of extreme pattern.

Keep your make up natural. Make sure you are in a area that has plenty of light.

do not use any flash unless you plan to bounce the light off a reflector or the walls and ceiling

You can stand straight in front of the wall and have your camera come from either the left or right side. turn your head slightly so that you are facing the camera. hold steady and shoot

you can also use that same concept but instead lay on the floor or your bed. You can even try looking up and extending the camera from above you. make sure you dont get your arm in the photo if your going to take it yourself. if someone else is doing it you can shoot no farther then to your waist and you can position your arms crossed at your hips or under your chin

since its for modeling they prefer color or black and white and no smaller then 8x10 but every place is different so make sure you follow there exact requests.

here are some of my own head shots so you can get a clear example most taken on my own some by others

Good luck

Depends on a lot of stuff. Don't use much makeup though... just something that accentuates your best features. You want them to think that you don't need makeup to look great. And with the angles it's simple, you just have to know what your best features are and how to hide imperfections. For example if you have a longer nose, better to have your face straight towards the camera. Or if you want to show a beautiful neck line, just tilt your head a bit to the opposite side of the camera

I would recommend a professional photographer...

Also for modeling, it's best to go in with a fresh face, so I would keep the makeup minimial (even none, if you can) and natural looking.. take a few with your hair up in a simple ponytail and some with your hair down.

where are you having an interview???
