I used to take pic's with my Kodak camera,which has a 2gig Mem.Card? |
Everytime I want to put my pic's,from my 2 gig mem card on to my comp.I would just stick the card in my front slot, and there would be a display telling me if i wanted to save my pics to my comp.,I would hear a beeping sound, now, everytime i put the mem card in to save my pix,it makes a diff.sound, and an icon pops up on the bottom and says"you can safely remove hardware"and i cant store my pix anymore.is there a problem with my sd drive, you think? Is there a way to restore the hardware?Thank you. CM I take it you didn't use the icon in the lower right hand corner to safely remove the camera chip. This is a common mistake people make. Plug it back in and use the icon to safely remove it, then it should work. I have personally came across this problem several times when I change systems on different computers. The computer notifies the chip it is finished, so it can be reinserted later. It sounds like you had some sort of software that use to synchronise your pics onto the computer, and now you don't and it's just going to the 'default' for a usb connected device. Try looking in My Computer, and see if there is an extra 'drive' in there, that 'should' be your card :) |
