I am looking to buy a digital camera for under $150 that takes good quality pictures and is easy to use.?

I have been looking at the Kodak Easyshare 8.0 (?)- I like to take pics of nature, animals, closeups, etc. But I'm really clueless- any ideas to guide me in the right direction would be appreciated!

Easyshares are decent cameras. The Nikon Coolpix series might be another group of digital point and shoots you should research; they're easy to use and have a variety of options for different types of pictures.

For closeups, look for a camera that has a low focal length, it's a range of numbers that look like 1.8-5.5 or 2.4-5.2, etc. the lower the first number, the better the macro shots.

You don't have to worry too much about the specs, most in that price range are similar. I'd recommend having a minimum of 5 megapixels.

If you're worried about quality from lesser brands, Canon and Nikon are the leaders in the camera world.

There are so many cheap cameras out there now.. There's a casio I think 8MP for under $100. Kodak and cannon are the best though..
