Is Sheffield a nice city to live in? |
We're moving. My wife and I are wedding photographers and are planning to set up our business in Sheffield. We'd like to live in a nice quiet, safe area with good public transport, cheap housing (if there's such a thing) and things to do/see. Interested in hiking, photography, nature, art and history. sheffield, lived here all my life (34yrs) lots of places 2 go hiking.Beighton in sheffield is nice u have rother valley near beighton which is brill 4 walks and crystal peaks 4 gud public transport with buses & tram. (dont fink there is such a thing as cheap housing) Sheffield's not the most attractive city on earth, but it's very vibrant with plenty to do, affordable housing and quite a friendly community. It's surrounded by the peak district which has some of the most breathtaking countryside i've ever seen - perfect for hiking and nature. vitually all the industry has gone, there is plenty of surrounding country side to see ,the pennines etc.A lot of new building and leisure facilities have been constructed over the last few years. The people are warm hearted and friendly.good luck.THE MI is on your doorstep, with Rotherham, and Leeds is only 40 minutes away. yorkshire dales less than an hour away full of places to walk abbeys castles etc dont move to sheffield if you want to watch football lol lufc Yeah, it's a great city no its not a lot of businesses are closing down ,because of high rents, and taxes, the prices of bus fares are all ways going up,cheap housing there isn't any .where is safe nowadays? |
