Ideas for a wedding cake? |
Anyone have a good idea for a cake? I am getting married next weekend. Need some help. Also any good ideas on what to do if can't hire a photographer? Should I pass out cameras? In our area several of the supermarkets have delis which make good cakes and they do wedding cakes however I'm not sure of the time line. Perhaps a smallish 2 tier cake with a topper could be made for the ceremonial cutting and pictures, and sheet cakes from the deli bakery could be used for serving. I have been to weddings where there were cameras passed out but then the couple ended up with 8 to 10 cameras with very few pictures on them. Perhaps you could get a couple of close friends or relatives to take snaps. Costco cakes with butter cream frosting taste great! Sounds like fun to have your guests take pictures and you will get all kinds of fun shots. Traditional wedding cake would be an option, but whatever you are interested in, they can make; NASCAR, beach, skiing, etc. You need to order it now for next weekend, if you can still get it. Passing out cameras would be your best bet, but do take some of yourself. Good Luck! Busken or Meijers bakeries are quick. Try something simple with live flowers. Tasteful, but easy. Hire a photography student from a college to save $$ and booking at the last minute shouldn't be a big deal to a student.
