For a wedding.......who do you tip and who do you not tip? |
do you tip all of your vendors (flowers, photographer)? I have relied on www.theknot.com for almost all of my wedding etiquette answers. Here is a link specifically for your question. http://www.theknot.com/ch_qaarticle.html... I hope you find it informative. Also, Mrs. Manners on Wedding Etiquette is a decent book to get from the library. Painfully Etiquette is how I think it's been described. Good luck to ya! Source(s): www.theknot.com no not really, they usually get paid enough yes don't tip no one! A wedding is expensive enough. Most of them already include gratuities in their price, they just may not list it out, but trust me, they are getting plenty. The only people I tipped were the make-up artist and hair stylist. Then the wedding coordinator, I gave a bottle of wine. You don't usually tip vendors unless they've gone way above and beyond. Also, check your contracts. If there's a "service fee" that includes tips (this will often be in the catering contract, so no need to tip the wait and bartending staff). You never tip an owner, but may tip an employee (if the service was good and there was no built-in service fee). You do tip the person who does your hair and nails, you do tip the limo driver. If the DJ or photographer is an employee of a company, then you may tip that person (wait until you see the photos before you tip the photographer). Don't tip the florist (again, unless way above and beyond), the DJ if he/she is their own company, the caterer. |
