Why my web displays perfect on netscape, firefox or safari and it wont work on windows Internet explorer? |
2 diferent web pages I built http://helixaudiovisual.com/about.htm... and http://rosarito-wedding-photographer.hel... display a slideshow, the configuration of this slideshow I re check 10 times now, and it displais perfect on all browsers exept windos internet explorer. this is a mistery. Why? anybody have an Idea Thanks Your problem is related to how IE handles the dynamic emdedding of the flash movie. There are some nasty issues like getting the DOM to recognise the new item and the changes IE made to handle activeX activation (Eolas patent issues). We are doing the same thing on our site, however we are using the SWFObject library to handle the insert - it works across all browsers and versions seamlessly. Contact me if you are having problems and I'll try and help out nice site, I don't have IE installed on this though, so I can't see the problem (which you should have described), but I'll talk generally. When I build a site I generally use firefox/safari/sunrise and when I'm happy in that I use IE and add an @import css stylesheet to slightly change things for IE. Otherwise, perhaps you are using client side javascript to change the images? IE has a different DOM for javascript, so you need to change certain things about your scripts for them to work in IE. |
