What is the resolution of a pic if they are to be enlarged to A4 size?


My daughter's wedding photographer has given us a cd to get the prints but I am told that the resolution he has used is too low, and when enlarged the pictures are blurred. Can you please tell me what size they should be and how can i find out from the CD what resolution he has used. It is being printed in SL and I am communicating from here to get it done, and everything seems so confusing.

I personally use Picasa to Edit my pictures. it's free and easy to use.
