Does anyone have any referrals or suggestions for a Dallas Wedding? |
I just got engaged 3 weeks ago, and we are starting to talk about a day and what kind of wedding we want. I have done numerous searchs on the web for venues, catering, photography - but I haven't found anything that will really work for us. I was hoping that some of you on here got married in Dallas or have attended a wedding in Dallas or have friends that offer some of the services I will be needing for our wedding. So please offer me some advice on Venues (ceremony & reception), caterers, photographer, etc. Thanks. The Southfork Ranch is in Plano. It was were the show "Dallas" was made. http://www.southforkranch.com/ If you are having a summer wedding don't do it outdoors. It's hotter than you know what and isn't comfortable for anybody. If you have a bigger budget check out the Gaylord Texan hotel. It has basically an indoor river walk with waterfalls and everything. It's amazing. I live in Dallas. Professional Party Design I was married at the Carpenter House in Plano. It's an old victorian style house built in 1898. We chose it because we wouldn't have to do any decorations. The ceremony was outside, the reception inside. They provide the food and cake. We loved our wedding! It was very casual, simple and elegant. We loved the atmosphere! www.thecarpenterhouse.com There are also two B&B's in McKinney that do weddings. The Bingham House and the Surrey house. I know the Bingham house has a dance floor if you want dancing. I can recommend a videographer and minister and florist. I would not recommend our photographer! If you want more info or want to see pics, e-mail me. regzad@yahoo.com Try using the following links: http://www.mydallaswedding.com/?gclid=cp... http://www.gatheringguide.com/event_dire... www.thecarpenterhouse.com I am getting married in October and we are having our wedding/reception here: www.surreyhs.com (its only costing $3500 which includes, wedding cake, groom's cake, venue, rehearsal time, tables, chairs, linens, veggie & fruit trays, sandwiches, tea, coffee and water and labor cost for the workers.) This place is cozy and cute. ***try to find a place that will be "all-inclusive" like this one. Good luck, if you have any other questions, I would be glad to help! I am still in search of a photographer and DJ. Dallas Aboretum http://www.dallasarboretum.org/rent/wedd... The Mansion at Turtle Creek http://www.mansiononturtlecreek.com/wedd... The Fairmont http://www.gatheringguide.com/event_dire... Check out this site for more ideas: http://weddingwishes.com/ I'm not sure about your budget, but the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, TX does really nice weddings. If you have never been there, definitely check it out. I have been to 2 weddings there and they were both really nice. They have a website. It is www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylordt... |
