Looking for a Photographer and Videographer. Alex Bay, NY? |
We are planning a Sept 2008 Wedding in Alexandria Bay, Ny. The prices at the "resorts" out there are crazy! We're from the Buffalo area - where you can have reception at the nicest places around for $50 a head with a great meal and 4 to 4.5 hrs of open bar. The prices we've found out there start was $80/ea with 1 hr of open bar to $170/ea with 4 hours of open bar. Are people really paying this? Are they crazy? We checked a few places out up there - they are in no way nicer than the places out here. So we are opting for an outdoor reception. So I'm finding out the same goes for some of the photographer quotes we've been getting - the numbers are in the $1000's. This is crazy. Can anyone give me a name of a good photographer/videographer team that isn't a rip off? I have at the most $1500 set aside for pics/video. You can also try http://www.bridalhood.com or craigsist. They have sections for local vendors. And on bridalhood, you can also post your vendor request with budget requirements and vendors can get in touch with you. i would go to theknot.com. you can ask brides there who they used and how everything went. |
