Best outdoor wedding ceremony locations in the Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc...)?

My husband and I want to renew our wedding vows in October of 2008. It would just be a ceremony with the two of us, a photographer, and an officiant...the opposite of the big wedding we originally had. Since it would be just the two of us, we can be flexible on where we go but would still like to stick close to home (no Vegas, Florida, etc...). We know we want it outdoors and I'm partial to gazebos for some weird reason. Anyone know of a good location anywhere in the Midwest that fits the bill? Thanks!

Renew your vows at The Everett Sun Room on Catfish Lake in Eagle River, WI at sunset. You'll get AWESOME 'wedding' photos if weather permits (I'd go for Late Aug or early Sept myself).
Try local state parks.
In Wisconsin there is a place called Old World Wisconsin. I just went there to check the place out for my own wedding. It's very nice for an outdoor ceremony. It has tons of flowers and a gazebo. The place is just outside of Eagle which is near Whitewater, Palmyra, and close to Waukesha and Milwaukee. The person to contact is Mike Armgardt. Phone number - 262-594-2798. Hope this helps.
Sault St Marie. Upper Michigan. Its full of beautiful waterfalls. And a very lovely area.
Otherwise, Northern Wisconsin has a lot of beautiful land. I'd go for a day drive to check it out This coming October, so you know what it will look like at that time of year. Good luck.
Well, this place is located in Illinois. I go here about once a year to eat (usually for Mother's Day or something) and the food is great and the atmosphere is beautiful, quiet and peaceful--they even have swans that swim in the ponds. It is located away from the city and I have seen other wedding parties come here. It may be expensive, but very romantic. It is called Fisherman's Inn. Check it out! http://fishermens-inn.com/

Ask the officiant - they usually have the skinny on the best spots. Note - you don't need an officiant or any paperwork this time around. This is not a legal service - it's spiritual.
Congratulations on having a successful marriage.
