Wedding photos are awful have any ideas what I should do? |
I just got my wedding pictures back from my photographer this Saturday. Over a month after our wedding. We went to her house to pick them up. They looked good from a distance, we didn't sit and look at them, we just kind of paged through them. She told us we can put them on the computer and change them any way we want to because she gave us pictures on CD and in an album. We got home and looked at the pictures. They are awful!!! They are blurry and the colors are wrong. The black tuxes look green, some of them you can't see people's faces because there is a big blur over them, and the pictures have yellow and red looks to them. My white wedding dress is yellow in most of them. People's skin is red and blotchy and you can barely see their faces. These are on the CDs AND the PRINTS she gave us. I don't know what to do. These are my wedding pictures. It will never happen again. I'm so upset. I've been crying. I should probably sue her, but its not money thats important I want my pictures. Maybe she can fix them on her computer with PhotoShop or something like that. If she can't ask for your money back. If she won't refund your money, take her to small claims. get over it get more Troll the 'net, find someone else's, print them, then glue your heads on. This will save you a lot of money. It might be about the pictures, but you probably paid good money for them, so I'd think about trying to get your money back, although you did look at them before you took them home. If you know someone who does photo editing they might be able to adjust the color, but blurriness is very difficult to get rid of. Good luck. I would let her know that I was disappointed with the quality of the pictures. Since the photos are on CD, maybe she can use photoshop or another photo editor to enhance the pictures - make some of the coloring more natural and less blurry. She owes you that much. It shouldn't be your job to touch them up. You poor thing! I'm so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. The photographer at my wedding was a family friend (his). She decided to try out her new camera at MY wedding. Needless to say, the lighting was awful, they were blurry. That is, the ones she took AFTER she removed the lens cap! There is nothing else to do, dear, but ask your friends to give you copies of photos they might have taken and see if you can get enough to piece together a wedding album. Like you said, it will never happen again. In the meantime, confront the photographer, then register a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. You might not get your photos, but you might spare another bride the same thing you've just experienced. |
