websites are great too! One of the very best wedding photographers is a Canadian named Mark Ridout. He has about 100 slide shows of weddings and other photo shoots he's done on www.photdex.com. When you go to thje site go to "Sharing" then go to "Browse Member" his member name is mark_ridout , put this in without the capitals and the underline between the name and you can see his shows. You have to download a "Presenter" program to view the slide shows on this site but it is well worth it. There are thousands. What location do you need? Your guests...spent way too much on a "professional" whose photos looked like crap--the pics my family and friends took we so much better, glad they were there or we'd have NO pics of our wedding... These are guys and gals getting thousands and thousands per event. Also search for "The Professional Photography Show". It is an audio podcast about the wedding photography business and while the guy who runs it is fairly new, he interviews people with lots of experience. I suggest visiting online website such as http://www.weddinglenox.com ,weddingvendors.com ,onewed.com Unlike most yellow pages, they have detailed comparison for vendors (DJ,videographer, florist, and photographer) you can choose. One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that's too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out. I like weddinglenox as they have a easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page, plus you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. That save me lots of time to locate the best vendors with the right price. Some of the masters of wedding photography are Monte Zucker, Clay Blackmore, Dean Collins, David Ziser, Mark Currier, Dennis Reggie. Google all of them & you will find examples of their work. |
