Depends...do you have a friend who takes great pics? Maybe someone who is an amateur DJ. A friend of ours took the photos...they were brilliant! Cost nothing...it was our wedding gift from her. We had finger food...didn't want the sit down meal thing, so that cuts costs. The DJ made it...a good selection of songs had everyone dancing all night...people still say it was a great night....BUT, we were lucky to have a friend who was into photography. Work out your preferences and go from there....definitely dress is at the bottom...brides look beautiful in anything! All the best. invest in the photos, they will be all you and future generations have! personal expereince there are alot of things you can do to save money in these departments. depending on where you're having your location. if you absolutely have to have a caterer, often a buffet is cheaper...or you can have only hors d'oeuvres. if its more of an informal wedding, ive known alot of people to have friends or relatives to make the food and turn it into a buffet. sometimes the guests will never know. the dj can be pretty important if you want everyone to get up and dance, otherwise why not just make a cd that lasts a few hours and have someone in control over it. just remember to make a copy just in case. the photographer, have a family member or friend take pictures and have another one video tape it as well. As for the dress, davids bridal often has $99 sales. also alfred angelo and jessica mcclintock have some for a few hundred dollars. remember that youre only going to wear the dress once and it will look beautiful no mater what. hope this helped! congrats and good luck |
