Help !! wedding picture any ideas when you cant afford a photographer? |
please help with ideas for a wedding when you cant afford a proffessional Get a college art student to do it for you. A friend that is good at photography is nice too. Make sure they have plenty of memory and backup power. Also write down specific people you want taken, like granny. Peace's laptop idea is a good one too. This is better than a professional because you OWN the pix and can print at will. Having a lot of pix to select from is the best idea. Source(s): Mother of the Bride. You can see if a photography student would do it for free in order to build their resume or have someone you trust to take the important shots. Even though we are having a professional photographer (a friend who will do this as a gift for us), my fiance wants to set up his laptop and have our guests who brought digital cameras to upload the pictures they took onto his computer and he wants to create a iPhoto book from them. So that's also an option. Have a friend, or a friend of a friend take some pictures. Better yet, have a couple of different friends take pictures. One thing I learned the hard way at my wedding which was a month ago is, no matter how professional you think your photographer is, give them a list of the specific pics that you want. If you Google it you can find other photographers check lists on the web, then just have your friends go by that. I paid over $3K for my photographer and the results were horrible. $$ doesn't matter. Just find someone that cares about your wedding pics as much as you do. Ask around and try to find one of your friends or family members to take photos for you. Someone will usually have some sort of nice camera and will take pictures for you for the cost of you developing your own photos or for a small fee; just not the hundreds to thousands a professional charges. You could always do the disposable camera thing and pass them out to lots of people, but you're not going to get quality photos from that. Find a friend who has a good camera and has a little experience such as classes or something. and ask them to take pictures for you. Buy disposable cameras for your reception and place them on all the tables so your guest can all take pictures for you. (Some will come out horrible and some pretty nice). Start interviewing your family and friends. Someone you know can take some pretty great pics. You just have to find this person. If you are close to them ask them to be in your wedding as the most important job: Your photographer. Make sure you get this person a nice gift to show your gratitude. |
