What is a average price for a photographer to take photos at a wedding? |
I am thinking about getting into Wedding photography and not sure how much to charge. just starting out $600 --- as you pick up more business up the price $1,500-$2,500 dollars. since you are just starting and dont have alot of experience..it doesnt need to be sky high but talk to the people that you are photographing and then settle on an agreeable amount that way you dont charge too much and they like you and dont regret it The basic package for my wedding is 1600....and it goes up from there. If you are a new photographer, you could not charge that much, since you have a smaller amount of previous clientel. If you are just starting off, you will probably have to break even until you develop a good reputation, meaning the cost i.e. the camera, film, developing, labor will equal or be lesser to what they pay you. If you get really good, you could start charging beyond $2000- but that is if you live in a really wealthy area....say beverly hills...... My fiance and I were just looking for a photographer and we found the price to be from 1,200 minimum - whatever you are willing to pay...as much as 4,000. Ultimately we just stuck with someone in the family who is good at taking photos for $500. You could make a killing with a good portfolio For our wedding, my photographer charged us $2500. This included ALL the prints that he took, the engagement portrait, he was with us all day, and it included 3 photo albums - one for us, and one for both sets of parents. It all depends on the amount of pictures u are going to take. |
