Can a photographer charge tax for my wedding pictures? |
Since photography is a service, can a photographer charge tax for shooting wedding pictures? I don't think he can charge tax on the sitting fee, but on every other aspect I'm pretty sure he can. I'm sure these laws vary state by state and possibly even as local as various city governments may have their own regulations for this.yes they have to pay taxes on what u pay them so yeah if it's all under the table i would... talk to them and say your not paying taxes on the money i give u i aint paying taxes!!!! Play-ease nig! Is it in your contract? You should have a written contract saying how much he is charging. That is all he can charge... The photographer, like any business person, doesn't "charge" tax, but rather "collects" tax. Under Michigan tax code, a service performed in relation to the sale of a product is taxable, so here yes. If he works under the table, no. He wouldn't be paying taxes on the money he makes, so why can he charge them?..to keep it! The answer is YES because the photographer is a business and you are the customer. |
