Is it proper to give a tip to my Wedding Photographer, and if so how much.? |
Is it proper to give a tip to my Wedding Photographer, and if so how much.? 10 % They charge so much that I did not even think of tipping my son's photographer! I tipper the DJ 10% though. Like in situationing yes. The worst that they can do is stomp off and they waant to get paid. If you are paying him directly then no. He is providing a service to you directly. If he is a employee of the studio you hired then yes. If he did an outstanding job, yes give him a bonus. I've heard so many horror stories about wedding photos. I'd say it would depend on how well the photos turn out. If you're pleased then yes, if they could have a done a better job I'd say no. I didn't with mine. They charge so much money anyway. Nicer to send a thank you card which he can then show to prospective clients you can tip but remember, your already paying them alot of money just for the service itself. Tipping is done by choise in this matter so the dollar amount would be whatever you find fitting. If she/he does well tip them a 20+ If not, don't tip them anything. I wouldn't tip if I were you....unless they did some outstanding job and went beyond what they were contracted to do. Then, maybe, I would give them an added tip. Good luck and Congrats! |
