What you did not like from your wedding photographer? |
What you did not like from your wedding photographer? The photographer hired for my daughters wedding at the last minute accepted another ceremony for the same day, and since we were the most distant from his studio, he sent an assistant. to take the pix. This person took the worst wedding pictures I have ever seen. The posed pictures were either too dark or too far away, the closeups showed my daughters bra strap on her shoulder, (a good photographer notices those things, and tells the bride to move the offending strap), and in those taken at a distance there wasn't a single one that didn't have a flaw, or the skirt of her gown had a bad fold and hooked over a rock in the ground and looked wrinkled... The one that could have been really pretty...Instead of having the groom put his arm around her waist, which would have been a great pose, the photographer made him put his arm across the front of her with his hand on a tree next to them. He is 6 ft, tall and she is 5'2...she was almost lost behind him! A true shame. But the photographer ended up losing out, we are a fairly large family. If the photos had been good I would have taken a copy of the whole lot for my own album, plus about 20 copies of the best one to send to the family, as it was I ordered 5 pix, (and only so that my daughter wouldn't feel bad!) Now that I'm into computers, I have recuperated the best 3 from the album, retouched them, straightening & smoothing the gowns skirt, and removing the strap. Now I have taken these retouched copies to my local photo shop and had prints made for the family.. I've even had an enlargement made to hang on my living room wall! The children around me. My brother married a Welsh woman in south Wales The photographer refused to take any pictures with our side of the family in them We had to take him round the back of the church to explain the error of his ways But he still wasnt keen,so we got a little more physical And people ask why we dont like the Welsh,ignorant b*at*rds Looking back, the photos almost all seemed "over posed." Not enough candid shots. Would have liked more casual shots. Quality was excellent, but more variety of shots would have been nice. Our wedding photographer didn't take all that many pictures of us. I know that sounds weird!! He took pictures of everything we told him to, the portraits and all, but at the reception they took a few candids...of other people. None of us. There are tons of pictures of my friend and her boyfriend (who at the time we hardly knew)....more than there were pictures of the bride and groom. I thought that was a little weird and I was really grateful that relatives and other friends took pictures of us. My mother, my mother-in law & I all have almost the same color of hair. My mom in law & I were varying shades of blonde. My mother a brunette. I won't even go into the explanation he gave me! His personality. He seem grouchy and like he could care less. He offered no direction really. But he did get his eat on at our reception, no doubt (which I don't mind but he was mean). |
