What questions should you ask a wedding photographer? |
What questions should you ask a wedding photographer? -package rates? -do you get or can buy the negatives? -is there a deposit and it is refundable? -when are fees due? -to see their portfolio? -how many weddings they have done? -how much is a portrait sitting before the wedding (if you want one?) -how long will they stay?and how many rolls of film do they take? -what do they photograph in each of the packages? -are the styles of their pictures traditional or do they capture the moment (more artsy)..(just make sure they match what your preference is) Source(s): good luck and happy wedding planning how much? is it a per hr charge? what type of shots will he/she do? does he/she have refrences you can call? DOes he/she have work you can see? DO they provide the proofs and the negatives? DO they do your reprints? DO they do the album? You should ask him/her if you can talk to three previous clients. Find out how satisfied they were and how they would describe what the photographer was best and worst at. You should ask the photographer what he/she thinks they are best at and see if they call out any situations where they would rather not work. I think it's a good sign if they will be up front about the ways they don't want to work. You should look at previous work. You should talk to three of them and go with one that you are comfortable with, has good references, and seems organized. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to worry about the photographer holding it together. How long they've been in business, ask to see thier portfolio, price, if they will go a park after ceremony or to a different destination before reception, how long he will stay, if you get the negatives or a disk, and what the reprint prices are if those aren't included. Also see if they will "include" an album. How much does he charge and does he have different prices fo different needs? Does he have that date available? Will he let you keep the proofs? Does he have references and can you see work he's done? What kind of camera and lighting does he have? Will anyone be assisting him? How long has he been in the business? What will the album look like? Former mother of the bride |
