Where can I find a wedding photographer that doesn't charge an arm and a leg?!? |
I can't find anyone under $1750! I suggest visiting online website such as http://www.weddinglenox.com ,weddingvendors.com ,onewed.com Unlike most yellow pages, they have detailed comparison for vendors (DJ,videographer, florist, and photographer) you can choose. One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that are too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out. I like weddinglenox as they have a easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page, plus you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. That saves me lots of time to locate the best vendors with the right price. You're paying Houston prices which really isn't THAT bad. The price you pay for living where you do. :( Why don't you go slightly outside the Houston area? Get references & a contract. Cincinnati wedding minister Contact a local school of arts in your area they might have some students that would be interested in the experience. Also ask some photographers they might have the option on placing the photos on a CD only then you can take them in to a developer yourself this should save you money. Maybe a friend? dis **** is so funny.never heard that before..... If you are near a University - contact the art professors and ask for any students that they might suggest. Then put ads in the University and local newspapers. I really like the work of hobbyists because they tend to not get offended as easily with your opinion of how things should be shot. Just make sure you spell out what you want. I have actually photographed a few friends weddings, and I really enjoy trying to capture the mood - so more people may be interested than you thought. Just ask them to see some pictures they have taken and are proud of to get an idea of their equipment and eye for the situation. Also amateurs will sometimes just give you the pic files and you can print and modify them as you see fit. |
