I live in Philadelphia and I am looking for a low price Wedding Photographer that acould fit my budget.?

I don't want to spend anything over 900 dollars.

Instead of going to some big photography place, go to your local community college, and go into there photography club I'm assuming they have one. And ask one of the smarter kids in the class if you can see his photography. Look at it and see if its mostly portraits, or landscape. I would look for a combination of both depending on the setting of the wedding. Then tell the kid that you will pay him 50-100 bucks, as well as pay for the film or memory card used. If its film, take it to a local picture shop, nothing like walmart or ritz cameras. If its a memory card, I suggest you load it onto your computer and adjust anything, like black and white photos, antique photos, adjust the brightness. Then take it to a local photoshop, and ask them not to adjust anything if it is already the way you want it.

P.S. I don't live in Philadelphia, but I am an upcoming photographer, and won 1st place in my college's photography contest. So yeh there are some good young people to take pictures.

I got an awesome photographer for $600.
This got me like 6 hours, and all the pics on a CD.
I saved money by ONLY prinitng the pics i liked. And i printed them like 2 months later.
I myself have lots of photographic experience, but obviously cant shoot my own wedding, plus im not a wedding photographer.

What i did was this.
I went on Craigslist.com
Put an Ad saying you need a photographer for a wedding.
Tell them your requirements, like time you need them, and that you want ALL the pictures "High Res" on a CD
Dont tell them your budget, but do let them know that you are on a tight budget. This is what i did, and i got quoted under what i was hoping, ended up saving like $400 dollars. Also make sure you give details on what date it will be, what locations, etc. Anything that will go into them figuring out a price for you.
Leave your e-mail address, NOT a phone number.
And also make it clear that you are only responding to photographers that give you a quote in their response, also ask if any of them have examples of thier work and that you need a number to each them at.
You will get a few responses from people with a number and no quote. Try e mailing them back, tell them you are looking for price quotes.
When selecting a photographer, look carefully at the pictures on their website or when you meet them. If they have an album full of great pics, but of mixed weddings, that may mean they only get a handul of great pics from each wedding. If teir portfolio shows at least 15 or 20 from each wedding, then that means they probably do quality work.

Once you pick one, find a bunch of wedding pics you like, show it to them, tell them what you want.
Get something in writing. Also ask if something happens "the day of the wedding" if they have a back up photographer. Get their number too.

p.s. dont get a college kid to do it for 50 bucks, yes there are awesome college photographers, but its a waste of time and energy looking for a diamond in the rough, weddings take enough time. Plus, $50 bucks? thats insulting to a photographer, even student ones. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I live in SJ and I'm using a student at a local college and she freelances at a SJ newspaper. I attached her website. I'm getting a great deal. Please contact her. I'm spending under $900 but I also said that I'll do my own wedding album. You just have to let her know what you are looking for and then just negotiate from there.
