Wedding Photographer Prob? |
My fiance and I hired a wedding photographer in June for our May 2008 wedding. In October, she informed us that shes pregnant and "probably would not photograph the reception." She said we could get our deposit back, but at that point, most photographers were booked. Then in Nov. she said she "probably would not photograph the entire day" and another 23 year old assistant would. When we asked for some sort of compenstation, she was rude. Our engagment pictures were shot by her and she seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. What should we do? Even if she does shot the wedding, I'm afraid she will provide us with low quality pictures. Should we look now for a new photographer? The wedding is 3 months away!!! Also, we are in the Philadelphia area if anyone has any suggestions of a good photographer. Thanks!! I think that the photographer was overreacting since she was pregnant; however, she will do a great job for the ceremony and the assistant will also do a great job for the reception. Just talk to the photographers closer to the wedding and go over all of the shots you want taken so that you get the results you want! wht if she doesnt want to give u ur money back?ive already had that problem a few times look for a new photographer, but why are you waiting till the last minute? Ask for your money back. She is not providing the service you were offered by her. Contact the BBB if she fights you on it. You should have dropped her the first day she was wishy washy on her availability. get your money back. look on craigslist under services and type in photographer. Get your money back and look for a new photographer! Study carefully the contract you signed Try this site it has free lists of wedding photographers in major U.S., Canadian, and destination cities. This is helpful, I got married 6 months ago and I used this link, so we found it helpful in making a good choice, and spent less time researching. Like 'human' said, study the contract you signed very carefully. If you did not sign a contract, then you have an oral contract, which is hard for her to enforce, especially since she is probably breaking it. |
