Specific wedding picture?

I am having a hard time explaining a specific picture I want at my wedding. Can anyone find a picture of this:

I want a picture of myself and my fiance before the ceremony, but we can't see each other. Usually this is done where the bride and groom are on different sides of an open door and they are talking to each other or holding hands but they can't look around the door.

I am a traditional bride in the fact that my fiance cannot see me before the wedding, but I have seen a video where the bride and groom did this type of picture.
unfortunately I can't convey what I want to my photographer without a picture. anyone know of an example of this?

I don't know how the photographer didn't udnerstand you, though. You were so clear and as soon as I read it I pictured it exactly how you said. You probably want more than a veil, but that is all I found. I've seen just the veil separate them before in movies and on tv, but you probably want the door, like you said.
Idk. Hopefully that will explain it better to your photographer and they get their head on straight!
Or maybe you can draw a picture using stick figures! Lol.

I couldn't find any with a door either, but I know I've seen one before. I agree that you could just run some dummy shots of what you want (have a friend take them) so you can show them to the photographer.

Maybe you could take a picture of yourselves (or 2 other people) in this same pose to show your photographer how you want it on your wedding day.

This is as close as I could find....it features the whole wedding party, each on the appropriate side of a wall....I think this is similar to what you want.
