How much should you pay a photographer to do your wedding pictures. That has not done many weddings? |
How much should you pay a photographer to do your wedding pictures. That has not done many weddings? remember that these photographers that are just starting out have to build on their portfolio and that you are in a way doing them a favor ... i'd pay the minimum ... enough to cover their costs basically Be sure to ask for a sample of some of their photos. Every photographer is different, so see which one is more your style. Some photographers go for a more "photojournalistic" approach. Decide what you want, (group photos, ceremony photos, how many hours at the reception) then shop around. Just because they haven't done that many weddings does not mean the photos will be bad... EVERY photographer had to start somewhere. But unlitmately it's whom ever you were the most comfortable with, and that is within your price range. Also, if they have not done many weddings, discuss a possible discount in exchange to allowing them to use your photographs for marketing. Good luck! Our photographer asked for $500.00 and we are getting the photos at cost. He is a great photographer (we had him take engagement pics) but he will have only done about 3 weddings when it's time for ours this September. I don't even remember what I paid for mine, a few hundred bucks plus cost of extra prints...but since he is new make sure you have a list of pictures you WANT! like father/daughter, mother/son, group shots, bridesmaids, etc...my sisters photographer never even took a picture of the couple together alone!!!! so all they have are pictures of them taking their vows and walking down the isle together! and he was supposed to be a professional! what does the photography charge? if u think thats rediculas make a new offer perhaps you should take a look at the "wedding offers" other photographers charge... and try to undercut them a little... |
