How do I hire a photographer in the Sims 2?

Is it even possible to hire a photographer for your Sims 2 wedding?
Just curious because I've seen in Youtube vidoes that there are photographers.

Well, there are ways to set up a sim to 'look' like a photographer, but they don't really perform that way.

I have one story where I created a sim and put him on a lot and placed objects to make the lot look like a photo studio. You can get some of these objects at http://www.modthesims2.com

They are 'lost' Maxis objects: studio lights and booms, and the camera career reward item, and backdrops. I then got a family I wanted pictures of into that lot using a hack called a teleporter which allows you to instantly get any sim in the game to appear on the lot.

Then I made some other changes to make the plumbobs dissappear, and the thought bubbles go away, and then I set the family up and took pictures using the in game capture.

A couple of pictures I let my 'photographer' sim take using the camera. I do plan on doing this again to photograph a sim wedding in a church lot I'm building.

It's fun, but it would be nice if there was just a guy who came and set up his own stuff and did it automatically :/

You can't actually "hire" a photographer, BUT once you buy the Bon Voyage expansion pack, you can click a sim and ask him to take your photograph. He will get out a camera and take your picture, which will then save to your photo album and you can even order prints or an album from your sim PC!
