Is it inappropriate to wear fire engine red to a wedding?

I am a photographer just starting out and this is my first wedding. I'm not a guest or in the wedding party, I will just be taking the pictures. My T-shirt that I made for my business with the logo on it is fire engine red and I will be wearing that with blue denim capris and Doc Martin sandals. The wedding is casual dress but sadly I have no clue when it comes to proper wedding etiquette or attire. LOL. Thanks for your help, I'm nervous as can be.....

yeah... ur not a guest, so wear wat ev.

Hmm it;s a toughie.
Even though the wedding is casual; you still dont want to wear denim because you are hired and you're working. Maybe a casual "city short" like some black walking capri that can be dressed up or down. Or even a dark (underline and highlight DARK washed) demin capri and maybe put a casual form-fitting blazer overtop of your Tshirt so it's casual and yet put together. Also maybe purchase a pair of flats; casual and yet clean and proper. As long as the theme isn't black and white the red should be fine, just dont over do it as you're there to work not to entertain =)

yeah i dont think fire engine red is appropriate for a wedding, reguardless if it is casual or not. since your the photographer you need to represent yourself in a respectable way. Your personal appearance could even help you gain more business from wedding guests if they notice your photography skills! but in my opinion your planned outfit would not look professional at all! I would suggest wearing some nice slacks with a blouse, not a tshirt and flats or black sandals not flipflops. You might try a department store like Dillards or Macys so you could find something nicer but inexpensive. Even if they say the wedding is casual, you need to keep in mind that its your job and you need to look the part! hope i helped!

If it is your uniform, then you can't really help it.

Although it sounds like you're self employed so you could maybe relax the rules if you're worried about the colour.

Depending on when the wedding is, a simple dressor blouse/skirt combo could make you feel less conspicuous.

Try a white short sleeved (fitted) blouse and pencil skirt (high waisted or no) with some colourful flats for a professional air.

As far as I know, the only no-no for a wedding is white, so red should be fine!

I would reccemend you wear white instead or red. You will blend in with everybody else. Otherwise, if you decide to wear red, you will stand out and everybody will be stairing at you instead of the bride. Oh, and by the way... if you can't find any good casual dresses you'ld like to wear, check out a thrift store. I'll betcha look pretty at the wedding! Good luck with your photography! =]

i think this may be too casual - you really need something that doesnt stand out as your not part of the wedding and its there day not a day to advertise yourself or your business - maybey wear a pale open shirt/ smart jacket over the top to tone down the brightness. and im not sure about denim thats definately too casual go for plain black but not denim

sorry and good luck

its not inapprpriate i just wont wear that to a wedding beacuse its to casual you should wear like a peach shirt so it not to casual and jean skirt or pants fancy though and instead of advertising on a shirt give out flyerrs or your card

GO right Ahead more power to you!!!
you arn't suposed to look better than the bride but if you can then go ahead girl :0

that'll be fine just wear that since all your doing is photographing

itll make you stand out go for it!
