what is the BBB?

If $1500.00 is in your budget and you have checked out and feel his portfolio is professional, yes I would very much consider using him. The very next thing you MUST do before signing the contract is call the BBB and get a report of his activity. Unhappy clients will surely be a red flag as to whether you want to hire him for any price, under any circumstances. Best Wishes. Thanks for reading.

PSS.... oh... the BBB is the Better Business Bureau.

Well...I hope the photos are better than the website development because it took me 15 minutes to download the site and view the photos. What I DID see was impressive and very professionally posed and developed. As for the price.....it seems a bit on the low side, so just be SURE to get everything in writing before you sign a contract. What is an "Engagement Session"??? I can only assume it might be portraits of the two of you wearing the wedding rings and in wedding gown and tux????

The BBB is Better Business Bureau. They keep records of customer complaints on file for many years.....so if anyone of their past customers have had unpleasant experiences with them, the BBB will have a record of it on file. Good Luck

$1500 is on the low end for most wedding photographers that I know of. I looked at his site and the photography is a nice variety. My only thing is that this list doesn't include the album, parent albums, gift prints or wall portraits. So you may contract for $1500 and then pay that again (and then some) when you order your album and other prints!

If you really like this guy, see if he would negotiate an album into the price. If he is offering the images on CD or DVD with this package, then you will be printing them on your own and may you may wind up unhappy with the finished result unless you use a professional lab.

So yes I would use him as my photographer based on the photography but not based on what the contract is listing (without knowing about prints and albums)

I really liked his work, so from my point of view he is good. But what I like might not work for you. Did you like his style? Can you see you and your intended in his pictures? Have you met with him yet? Did you click? If you like his work, the next step is to meet with him and discuss your vision for your day. I have to say, for the apparent quality of image, he seems like a bargain for that area.

As a wedding photographer I can say it is about right. The most important is to like the photographer and his work. One thing to ask is about copyrights. Make a deal with the photographer who will assign copyrights to you. Otherwise you will spend a lot of money on reprints.

I think $1500 is very reasonable, cheap even, for what you are getting. So you are not getting an album of any kind? An elegantly designed album would be the best reason to hire him, and you will be sorry if all you have are photos on a CD and end up getting cheap 4 x 6 prints from Wally World.

steve

Yes he's very good. And how about the album. The cost of prints and album can very well cost as much as that cost. So you may end up paying out more when it's all said and done. Make sure you know what's to be expected before signing the contract.

I would say yes that is a bargain. You're aware that you're not going to get the full resolution files, and you'd have to pay for each print, right? That is now it is usually done.

But I don't quite understand your question. One sentence you said, "he" and another you said, "we". Why so?

You should hold on to the info then look for more people, if there is anyone better you can hire them and if not use this guy. Have a nice WEDDING!

The work looks good, what else do you get for the money? Book?Prints??

Do you see yourself in this style??
