Wedding photography POINTS!?

35-105mm sound right?

On a 35mm I presume? Yes this sounds right to me.

For a sub 35mm format SLR you may be lacking at the wide end of the range though (wides, while far from ideal for portraits, are very useful for big groups if you can't stand back far enough or if you are doing candids indoors in low light).

You can do most of it with that one. A longer telephoto is nice for the ceremony shots, depending on where the church lets you stand. But heck, I remember shooting weddings with 120mm cameras and no zooms at all. Go for it!

I use a 24-105 2.8 or a 70-200 2.8 lens for weddings.

Depends.

Certainly, style comes into play here, but a professional wedding photographer is generally expected to be able to cover at least 24-200mm on 35mm or full-frame digital, and f/2.8 through all or most of that range. In many churches and reception halls, f/4 just doesn't cut it.

My three primary wedding lenses are a 16-35mm f/2.8, an 85mm f/1.2, and a 135mm f/2 on full-frame digital, with a handful of others playing specialty roles as needed.
