The wedding is still on!!! Need help planning...?

So after a few funding problems my fiancee and I were plannning on waiting until after he gets back from deployment to have our wedding (around 2 1/2 to 3 years from now) But we have decided we won't let money stand in the way of our big wedding day!!! So I need to know what I am forgetting about. The hall is getting taken care of. Already paid for, my dress is already paid for, photography is getting done by a family friend, So what else do I need to figure out still? I was using ezweddingplanner.com but for some reason it won't come up anymore. Saying internet can't find the page. So what all am I forgetting?

Oh sorry forgot to add catering is being provided by the family and the bridesmaids and groomsmen are paying for their own attire and it is being choosen. I want silver with blue ribbons to match my fiancee's army dress blues uniform. Its a spring wedding do you think it will be ok?

Here is the list I used for planning my wedding. I didnt do all the stuff on here, but you can weed out what you don't want

Food, Cake, Entertainment, Wedding favors, and all of the other little things. Try using knot.com i used it while planning my wedding and it was great.

Invitations-order, receive, address, send. I would also order thank you cards with your invitations.
Cake-bride's and groom's/Nuts/Mints-either home made or dinner mints (these will be the most economical
Flowers-bride's bouquet/Bridesmaid's bouquet/Flower Girl/Boutineers for groom, groomsmen, and ring bearer/Father's and in-law/Mother's and in-law
Dresses for the gals
Tux's ? for the guys
Decorations for the reception-Are you having the reception at the same location as the wedding? If not, a place for your reception.
Band ? for the reception-not a necessary thing
Rehearsal Dinner-My first wedding we had a couple of ribeye rolls smoked, my mother and I made all the side dishes, and a lady from church made all the bread, paper plates and cups, and plastic wear, tea/coffee/water to drink.
Be sure there are plenty of motels/hotels in the area to house out of town guests.
GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only thing I see is missing, is fees for the church, and an amount for the minister. And fees for the license. Do you have the rings taken care of? Got a cake?

Sounds lovely, to me, other than that..

Flowers, rings, bridesmaids' & groomsmen's gifts. Tuxs for groomsmen. If any of the grooms men r n any branch of military also, it doesn't matter which branch they can where their dress uniforms also. I had a friend who was married back n March all the guys wore their Navy dress blues except one guy wore his Air Force dress attire, two other guys just wore nice suits---this would also work, tuxs r not absolutely neccessary. Best Wishes. Hope everything works out.

One thing on the photography - is the family friend a professional wedding photographer?

If not, then seriously consider hiring one, even if they only do the formal portraits and don't cover the entire ceremony and reception. The pictures are the ONLY THING that you will get from that day (besides the rings) that will last not only for the rest of your lives, but far beyond. Photographs will be passed along to your children and your children's children.

The ceremony and reception lasts only 4-5 hours, the dress is worn once, the cake is gone in twenty minutes, but those pictures will last forever and be looked at often.

I used www.theknot.com for all of my wedding planning. It was very, very helpul and includes a checklist and budget page. Check it out and Congratulations.

Don't forget to ask your vendors if they give an active military discount. Even if they have never considered it most will at least do something extra for you.

Trust me I'm in the industry.

Cake, favors, and the ceremony location. I read somewhere once that the only things you really need for a wedding are the vows and the cake. And since so many of your family and friends are pitching in, it'd be great to give them all favors to thank them for coming.

well heres a timeline, starting from a year before the wedding, and consequently has everything on it.
