Photography packages? |
Okay. I've been working hard for a couple years on photography, gave it some thought & now I'm starting to do weddings. I'm 16, but certified. Anyways, I need your help on wedding package prices. Just like a general idea of what I might be charging. I'm thinking around $550 for the first package: 2 8x10's 8 4x5's 6 5x7's Does anyone know anything about putting pics on a canvas? My photographer charged $1,100 to shoot for 5 hours. She gave us all shots that had been put into a book. We had the digital and standard. When we ordered the pics we paid $15.00 for and 8x10, $8.00 for a 5x7 and $3.00 for a 4x6. SOmetimes you end up making more money doing it this way. It's more affordable for the ones of us buying pictures and she made a decent amount shooting the wedding. I did my first wedding i just shot standard pictures put em into 4x6 prints, made an album. And after that I did 3 8x10's as a thank you gift. I dunno about canvas never seen that done. I charged 300 but i went into it with a film canon rebel and thats it. Was a thing I did just for extra money and otherwise they wouldnt have bought a photographer. You麓re joking right? The chapel we married in offered us all of these photos for only $192. I don麓t think that you麓ve done your homework. Here is a professional麓s charge: 8x10's=$20 4x5's=they offered 8x6s $10 5x7's=$12 I don麓t know anything about putting pics on a canvas, but maybe someone does in the photograpy category. Best wishes on your career! Sorry, that's way too much. You need to do some homework here, to see what professionals charge, then like cut that in half or more, since you aren't one. You would need to have quite the portfolio ready to show prospective clients, as well as references they can contact. I recommend researching your competition and charging comparatively. You will upset your competition if you are too cheap. You are also under-valuing your work if you are too cheap. As I'm sure you know photography is a lot of work. You may want to check out these sites. photoreflect.com and shutterfly.com Shutterfly will print canvas prints for you, and they can print books or albums too. By the way the canvas prints are expensive. And photoreflect.com will allow you to post images online to sell. You are able to pick from several labs that will print your images and mail them directly to the person who makes an order. Nice way to show those cousins in another state who couldn't make it. I also offer a cd of all the images. |
