What's your opinion on this new trend of "trash the wedding dress?"? |
http://jezebel.com/gossip/hells-bells/tr... Apparently the latest wedding photography trend is having pictures of the bride "trashing" her expensive dress in an artistic way. This could be anything from the bride being on horseback to actually setting it on fire or immersing it in ocean water. Anyone here "trashed their dress" or plan to do that? Would I do it? Heck no! I spent a year of my life making the lace! On the other hand, if others really want to do it, who am I to say no? You buy the dress, it's yours to do with as you please up to and including burning it. But if I wanted to be rid of my wedding gown after the wedding, I'd have donated it to a charity, such as one that offers wedding gowns to brides who can't afford them, or the one I heard of recently that remakes wedding gowns into burial dresses for babies whose families can't afford something nice. Why trash things when you can recycle them in a good cause? And giving some small modicum of comfort to someone who has lost a child strikes me as a damn good reason to recycle. http://heavenlyangelsinneed.com/weddingg... I think it is silly, I would never do that to my dress. Jeez, I don't think I could spend that much money on a dress and then trash it. I'd like to keep it. people have too much money and no morals. Why on earth would you want to do that?!?!? Most people I know have spent money at a drycleaner or somewhere else to preserve it. Wouldn't you want it to look back on, take out sometime, especially if you were to have a daughter? Disgusting. There are more charitable ways to dispose of it. It also depends on who paid for the dress. no i thin that is wrong i want to have my wedding dress when i get old to show my kids and stuff |
