Any ideas of how to get cheap photography for a wedding.? |
Photography for a wedding Ask a few people you know that take good pictures if they would photograph the ceremony, if you buy the film or discs. between all of them, you should get plenty of good shots for the album. Buy top quality films and pick people who have good cameras. Shots can be cropped and edited later for that professional look. For the reception, buy lots of good quality disposable cameras and put them out on the tables. Get Kodak or Fuji ones with flash and tele. The ones that say wedding cameras on them are usually no better. They just cost more. For the speeches and 1st dance and such, You might want to have some of your volunteers from the service to cover this, just in case. With all this, and a bit of editing and creativity, you can create a massive wedding of professional quality album for a nominal cost. Good luck :-) you can call a local school and see if they will have a photography student do it for you. Buy a bunch of one-use disposable cameras and leave 5 or 6 on all of the tables. Look for a photog school in your area where the students need pics for credit.. When my wife and I got married we hired an expesive photographer, but my wife's uncle also took pictures with a good quality digital camera and the ones he took looked better than the photographer's. If it were me, I'd get someone that has a good quality digital camera to take the pics, it's cheaper, faster, and WAY more convenient. The only thing I would get a photographer to do would be the bridal portrait. If you know someone with a good camera, or use your camera, and have a friend or family shots the wedding, and you get to crop and do the printing on the camera, with the digital cameras it is easy. buy a couple of cards. and you are good to go, that is what I did. worked beautiful. Or you can rent a camera! Get a digital camera because you get to see the pose as you're taking the picture. Really good digital camera's take nice pictures! A lot of them look perfessionally done! They usually range from $40.00 to $300.00 and more. But, if it's wedding pictures...I wouldn't be cheap about it, I'd get a perfessional. A.L. |
