How Long for wedding Photography?

How much time I set aside for photos at my wedding between the ceremony and reception.

It all really depends on how large your family and bridal party is and how many formal poses you would like taken. Usually 45 mins to an hour will be more than enough time. Most wedding photographers will give you a check list of poses you would like done. This will help with the flow of the pictures. One tip is to make sure the people that you want pictures of know not to leave the site until you get those photos. Source(s): Professional wedding photographer.
1/2 hour to 45 minutes typically unless you have a very large family/bridal party. It shouldn't take longer than 1 hour tops- so you don't leave your guests waiting.

Most photo sessions last an hour. Make sure you give your photographer a list of "must have" poses so they can be as efficient as possible. Another tip is to take the family pictures first because it's easier to wrangle up all the important family members together directly after the ceremony ends (otherwise, if you wait until after the bride/groom pics are taken, you will be going on an easter egg hunt of trying to locate where everyone is, which will waste lots of time).
You should allow at least 15 minutes for the couple/parents photos if it requires staying in one spot (as opposed to "how about over here). Add five minutes for each male/female couple in the wedding party. This is the BARE minimum I would suggest. When I shoot weddings, I always ask the bride/groom when booking what types of shots they'd like, so the more complicated it is the more time I allow.
I was flowergirl in a wedding 25yrs ago and we were away for about 2-3hrs it was way too long for a 5yo nowadays in Oz its about an hr
